What are the different mobilities supported in PCS.

Mobilities supported in personal communication service.

Personal Communications Service (PCS) is called a set of wireless communications capabilities.  Which supported different mobilities. That is terminal mobility, personal mobility, and service profile management.
 PCS refers to any of-
  • Several types of wireless voice or wireless data communication system.
  • Incorporating digital technolog
  • Providing services similar to cellular mobile or paging services.




PCS can also used to provide other wireless communication services like including services which allow people to place and receive communications when they are far from their home or office. Same as wireless communications to homes, buildings, office and other locations which is stable.

Personal Mobility:-

Personal mobility is the ability of a user to access telecommunication services at any Universal Personal Telecommunications (UPT) terminal.  It is based on the personal identifier and network is capable to provide those services in harmony with the user's service profile.


Personal mobility involves the network's capability to locate the terminal associated with the user for the purposes of addressing, routing, and charging the user for calls. 

Terminal Mobility:-

 In commercial wireless networks, the ability of a terminal mobility, while in motion, to access of telecommunication services from different locations, and the capability of the network connection to identify and locate that terminal.

Profile Management:-


Profile management is can active through a profile optimization service (POS). That provides an easy, reliable way for managing profile settings in Windows operating system. For ensure that consistent experience by maintaining any profile that follows the user.



Profile management can ensure that the user’s personal settings which is applied on the user’s desktop (pc) and applications, mindless of the location and device's end point.
